Literacy: The first component is Reader’s Workshop. During this time students will study novels that are both self and teacher selected and will learn comprehension and reflection strategies which will allow for a deeper understanding of the literature.
Math: Students will Students continue to gain number sense. We will work on Multiplication and Division dealing with multiple digits, geometry, graphing, and charts. Students will be learning to solve increasingly complex mathematical word problems.
Social Studies: This year in social studies, we will discuss and study the state of North Carolina.
Science: We will study Rocks and Minerals, Animal Behavior and Adaptations, Nutrition, and Electricity and Magnetism.
